Aberdunant Hall - Western Red Cedar.

Aberdunant Hall in Porthmadog is a luxury caravan site situated in the heart of Snowdonia and nestled in over 200 acres of mature woodland. Porthmadog is the base from which to explore all of Snowdonia; it is the gateway to one of the country’s most breath-taking National Parks covering 840 square miles with its purple tipped mountains, stunning forests and secluded lakes.

In March 2019 Prowood supplied the following products to Aberdunant Hall reception building :

Over 330m² of Western Red Cedar 16" Shingles Blue Label 5X No.1 Grade
Over 220m² of Western Red Cedar Cladding - 18mm x 144mm Proclad 8.

We visited the site exactly 1 year after installation. The below images provide a superb representation of the timber weathering process after 1 year of being exposed to the elements.

The silver/grey weathering of our cedar cladding combined with the Snowdonia purple/grey slate allows this fantastic reception building to naturally blend in with its surroundings.
