Prowood LTD, established in 1998 as Oregon-Canadian Europe Limited, is an importer, manufacturer, and distributor of high- quality softwoods, hardwoods, and clear softwoods.

Prowood was acquired by the Haldane-Fisher Group in 2021 to complement their well-established timber business with a specialist value adding sawmill facility.

With a focus in the supply of cladding, stair parts, internal and external joinery components, in all species, Prowood’s sawmill machines standard and bespoke profiles for customers throughout the UK and Ireland. This includes Prowood’s own PROCLAD range of cladding profiles. We also offer a comprehensive range of timber treatments, including fire treatment, lacquering, priming, stress grading and preservative treatment.

From its premises in Hindley Green, Wigan, Prowood operates an efficient mill as well as its own laminating, and priming. All on one site, allowing high QA standards to be maintained and short lead times to be achieved.
