Salford Red Devils Return To Training.
Monday 27th July 2020.
The Salford Red Devils squad returned to training last week, four months after their last session, ahead of the Betfred Super League restart.
Onsite testing, social distancing measures and hygiene and cleanliness procedures have been implemented to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all staff and players at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Head coach Ian Watson said: “The good thing is, the boys have come back in physically good shape.
“We just need to make sure we get the guys contact ready before that first game, so that will be the key now.”
With just under two weeks now until Salford are back in action, the players are being put through their paces to make sure that they can pick up where they left off in their last match, an 18-14 home victory over Wigan Warriors.
Red Devils centre Dan Sarginson said: “We looked pretty sharp considering we’ve had three months off. It was a good session.
“Obviously we’ve had a long time off, probably longer than any pre-season or off-season we’ve had, so it’s going to be tough but we accept the challenge.
“The way we finished that session today, it looks like if we just brush up on a few little bits then we’re good to go.”
