ENVIRONMENT

Prowood Limited view the preservation of forestlands as paramount to the future of our industry.

We endeavour to purchase material which has been harvested in a responsible manner and in accordance with the prevailing laws of the land. Regardless of country or environment standard used, a company must practice responsible forestry in order to be considered as a potential supplier.

Responsible Forestry Defined

Responsible forestry means managing forests to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs by practising a land stewardship ethic which integrates the reforestation, managing, growing, nurturing and harvesting of trees for useful products with the conservation of soil, air, and water quality, and wildlife and fish habitat.
