Urgent Care Appeal - Wigan & Leigh Hospice - Prowood National 3 Peaks Challenge.

In just 2 weeks team Prowood will hit the M6 North bound to begin The National 3 Peaks Challenge journey at Ben Nevis.

Reaching the summit of any mountain is an incredible feeling and a huge achievement, however, attempting to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales inside 24hrs will be an enormous test of physical and mental strength.

42km of hiking – the equivalent of walking from Manchester city centre to the centre of Halifax in distance.

9,843 ft of vertical ascent – more than 1/3 of Mount Everest, the highest mountain on earth.

We’ll battle sleep deprivation, whatever weather conditions, night time ascents and descents, fatigue, muscle soreness and probably much more.

Wigan and Leigh Hospice have recently issued an Urgent Care Appeal which will help maintain the vital care they provide.

At the moment, Wigan and Leigh Hospice is ‘losing’ around £2192 every single day just keeping services open!

Donations help to provide care and support for local people who have been diagnosed with an illness which is no longer curable.
